Boat Rental Agreement

A legal agreement between an boat owner and an boat renter which allows the renter to rent the vehicle at a certain rate for a specified period of time.

In addition to the above, a boat rental agreement may include various restrictions on the way a renter can use a boat, and the condition in which it must be returned. For example, some rentals cannot be taken "x" mile off shore, or out of the country, or towing a trailer, without specific permission. Example:  You might require to specifically endorse a promise that the boat will not be taken near Ninety-mile Beach (because of the hazardous low tides).

Have a requirement to show a driver's license and boating license if required
Specify which drivers are authorized to drive the vehicle
Require the renter to purchase boat insurance if the renter does not already have a policy to cover rentals
